Biorb Fish Tank

by admin

If you are looking for a Biorb fish tank you probably know already that they are beautifully innovative, stylish, contemporary aquariums that would look good almost anywhere. They are also equipped with the latest filtration technology for keeping healthy fish in a clean, easily maintained environment.

Biorb aquariums are made by a company called Reef One, which is known for developing creative, groundbreaking aquatic products. The same technology is used in all the Biorb aquariums but there are now several different designs, all in a range of sizes, to choose between.

From the original, iconic, 30 litre Biorb to the latest addition, the Biube Pure, any of the Biorb fish tanks will make a real talking piece in your home. The Biorbs, as the name suggests, are spherical in shape while the newer Biubes are cylindrical.

The beauty of a Biorb fish tank, whichever design you prefer, is that you won’t have to spend hours maintaining it but your fish will be well looked after, in the best environment possible. All the Biorb aquariums use a five-stage system to maintain the clarity and quality of the water.

The five-stages are biological, mechanical and chemical filtration, alongside water stabilizers and 100% oxygenation. The filtration system that comes with each aquarium guarantees to keep the water healthy and crystal clear for up to six weeks. After six weeks you must change the filter cartridge but this is simple.

The cartridge based filtration system in Biorb aquariums is unlike any in other traditional aquariums. The pioneering system developed by Reef One makes sure that waste created by the fish is collected into the cartridge for disposal.

The cartridge needs replacing when all the chemicals have been used by it and before the mechanical filter becomes blocked. The ceramic media found at the base of the aquariums also provides biological filtration that is never removed, ensuring the beneficial bacteria that thrive there are not killed off during maintenance.

The oxygenation level in Biorbs has also been proved to be higher than in conventional rectangular aquariums, as the air powered filtration system forces oxygen into the water via the bubble tube. This provides your fish and the beneficial bacteria with the right amount of dissolved oxygen.

Another difference of Biorbs to traditional fish tanks and aquariums is the material they are made from. All Biorbs are made from acrylic instead of glass, which has massive advantages.

Acrylic is a super-strong, lightweight, clear plastic that looks like glass but has far superior properties. One of these properties is that acrylic is shock resistant, absorbing accidental knocks without breaking. Unlike glass, acrylic would not shatter, leaving dangerous shards, if it was broken.

Biorb aquariums are approximately 50% lighter than glass aquariums so they are easy to pick up and carry, even for one person on their own. Acrylic also enables you to see the true colours of your fish, as it allows more light to pass through it than glass. This property combined with the crystal clear water that Biorb tanks maintain makes them look amazing.

Combine such properties with a range of contemporary, creative designs and you have the perfect modern aquariums. So if you’d like to buy a Biorb fish tank the hardest part will be deciding which design will look the best in your home, and you may have to spend a while choosing.

hello, a few weeks ago i got a 60l biorb. followed all the intructions ect, and after around 2-3 weeks. 50% of my fish have died. i have 4 left which i have had for along time, and that have been transfered from an old tank. 2 of them, being sasara comets, having long flowing tails, now seem really lifeless, just sat at the bottom of the tank no moving, and both of there long tail fins are now frayed to the point where it just looks like wires. please e-mail me on samuelturner13@hotmail.com if you know what is wrong, as my uncle will kill me if i kill all his fish off >.<
